Team SALINE will join this year’s YMCAB Big Sleep Easy event to combat homelessness in BCP
SALINE is proud to announce its participation in this year’s Sleep Easy event, a fundraising initiative aimed at raising awareness of the hardships faced by homeless individuals and supporting YMCAB’s mission to end homelessness in Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole.
This one night can make a lifetime of difference, with every donation going towards empowering local people to achieve positive, long-term futures.
Last year’s event left a lasting impact on those participating from Team SALINE, highlighting the stark reality of homelessness.
Nikki Smith, our Operations Director, shared her experience:
“I can honestly say that I felt exceptionally sad for those that must do that every night, some without even the luxuries that we had. I feel very lucky that I’m not in that position and hope to raise some more money and awareness.”
Account Executive, Jack Craig, echoed similar sentiments:
“I really enjoyed my evening with some great company. However, when I got into my shelter and I was alone, I soon realised the struggle of rough sleeping and how hard it really is for people.”
And Mat Connolly, Account Manager, summed up his thoughts:
“The harsh reality of being exposed to the elements with no escape is very daunting and puts into perspective how good we really have it.”
